As a trained IT Systems Electronician, I have always been passionate about technology. Anything that is automated in any way still fascinates me today. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before I dived deep into the world of Smart Homes.
Why I started this blog
What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion for the open-source system Home Assistant. I love finding solutions that go far beyond simply “turning on a light via an app.” On this blog, I share my experiences, projects, and tutorials to help you make your home smarter and more efficient.
My Core Focus
I believe that a true Smart Home should operate in the background without constant manual intervention. That’s why I focus specifically on:
- Home Assistant & Automations: From simple logic to complex system controls (e.g., calendar-based automation or smart bed sensors).
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): I experiment extensively with how local AI models can make the Smart Home even more intuitive without compromising privacy.
- Practical IT Solutions: Thanks to my professional background, I enjoy looking “under the hood” – whether it’s Docker containers, Portainer, or going paperless with Paperless-ngx.
